Loss and grief take away all sense of stability and structure, transforming every aspect of your life. Grief represents change in the most painful form. You start asking questions like: Will I ever be happy after this? How will I survive this? How long will it hurt?

You ask yourself, “What is the meaning in my life?”

You’re working hard. You’ve got a job, a relationship, and a family. But you don’t feel content.

You are frustrated. You don’t think that you are as happy as you could be. You feel stressed.

You feel anxious. You sometimes feel sad and lonely, even when you are with others.

Instead of acknowledging your accomplishments, you beat yourself up. You worry constantly. About everything. Your job. Your relationship. Your family. All of the day-to-day tasks that need done. You wonder where your life is headed.

We all have been conditioned to lock up our feelings and think that the bad things will eventually resolve themselves. This is not true! The boxes only collect dust and get heavier. They start to crumble. You feel a heaviness and start to crumble and do not know why. You try to solve the problems yourself or try to manage them by hiding them deeper. But sometimes you find yourself getting irritable . . . sometimes even downright angry. And, sometimes you feel that unbearable weight on your shoulders and inside you and want to scream and cry. 

The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way. You can live a life of contentment and be happy. You can stop worrying so much and start enjoying the moment you're in. You can build a sense of meaning and purpose in your life.
